Dr G.C Obonna is pioneer Ag. HOD, Department of Surgery UNIMED.
Chief Consultant general and minimal access surgeon, UNIMEDTH.
Senior Lecturer UNIMED.
He was the CMD at the NYSC camp clinic 1995-96 in the old ondo state and appointed public health doctor
who coordinated several UNICEF and WHO country program of collaboration including, pioneering mobile free
health services in the Riverine communities of Ondo state.He has an MPH degree from the school of postgrad-
uate studies in UNIBEN and became one of the pioneer directors,in the newly established PHC board of Ondo
State.
He completed his residency training in surgery and the subspecialty in Laparoscopy,Robotics and Endosco-
py at New Delhi. He coordinated series of rural surgeries and community diagnosis ,in collaboration with the association of r-
ural Surgeons. By all these, he was drafted by the ondo state government into the newly established Trauma Centre and Tea-
ching Hospital.He is interested in Reaserch and has several peer reviewed articles published in international and
Reputable Journals.
