Dr. Eunice Ogunwole holds a B.Sc. degree in Physiology from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Physiology from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. She began her teaching career at Bingham University, Karu, Nasarawa state, Nigeria, as an Assistant Lecturer in 2013. She joined the services of the University of Medical Sciences, Ondo as a Lecturer I in the Department of Physiology in the year 2020. Her main research thrust is reproductive physiology, focusing on dietary lifestyle and its mechanistic effects on male and female reproductive functions and developmental programming. She has found a number of naturally occurring plants popularly consumed such as Chrysophyllum albidum, Saccharum officinarum juice, and Abelmoschus esculentus fruit to be deleterious to the reproductive system by causing hormonal imbalance, reducing sperm quality, disrupting estrous cycle and the cytoarchitectures of reproductive organs. She is currently working on the effects of caffeine consumption on reproductive functions.
