Dr. Ekundayo is a passionate Microbiologist whose career goals aim at solving societal challenges related to environment and health issues via microbial tools. His research interest encompasses Environmental and Computational Microbiology with the general theme related to Sustainable Development Goals 3 and 6 from one-health perspectives. The main thrusts include Environmental and Molecular Microbiology, Microbial Genetics and Microbial Ecology, Emerging and infectious diseases, Biometeorology and Predictive Microbiology, Water sanitation, freshwater health, Air and Space Microbiology, Microbial Biomolecules and Metabolic Engineering, Infectious diseases, microbial eco-toxicological biomarkers of pollutants and Environmental modelling, Bioinformatics, Quantitative microbial risk assessment and Monte Carlos procedures, Machine Learning, Artificial intelligence, Deep learning and data science. At leisure, Ekundayo is either absorbed in reading, productive thinking, programming or playing with children. He also enjoys Quantum GIS, statistical softwares, and taking new challenges in other fields.
