Dr Kajewole has an interest in drug discovery and development. Her investigations on the identification of repurposed and novel agents for breast cancer therapy as well as target-based cross-sensitivity of chemo-resistant neuroblastoma cells has helped to better understand tumour heterogeneity and clonal evolution among other extant considerations for personalized medicine. More so, she is interested in the identification of novel agents for important target proteins that promote tumour aggressiveness in the prevalent triple-negative breast cancer sub-type in women of African descent.
Dr Kajewole has developed her passion in the field of biomedicine, and particularly cancer research over the years. She is a fellow of the Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD), a Lecturer at the Department of Biochemistry and a Member of the Centre for Molecular Bioscience and Medical Genomics, University of Medical Sciences (UNIMED), Ondo state.
