Prof. F. O. Ekundayo is currently a sabbatical staff in the Department of Microbiology, UNIMED. He is an accomplished scientist and excellent mentor of over 21 years’ experience in teaching and research in Applied Soil and Environmental Microbiology. He has supervised many Masters and PhD students. He has published many articles both in local and international peer review journals. He has attended many conferences within and outside the country. He has held administrative responsibilities (i. e. SIWES Coordinator, Postgraduate Coordinator, member, Staff Disciplinary Committee etc) at the Federal University of Technology, Akure. He is a member of many professional bodies. He has been investigating the influence of pesticides including fungicides on rhizosphere microorganisms of different crops. He has also been working on antimicrobial activities of Streptomyces as well as production of microbial nanoparticles and their different applications on health and control of plant diseases.
