Professor ORJI graduated from University of Nigeria Nsukka in 1990 having won the Late Chief Jerome Udoji Scholarship Award as the best Medical Student of his town Ozubulu ,Anambra State .
He won Osun State NYSC Honours award for his outstanding performance and was offered automatic state employment. He obtained Fellow West African College of Surgeon (FWACS),Fellow, Medical College of Obstetrics & Gynaecology (FMCOG), Fellow Medical College of Emergency Medicine (FMCEM) , Doctor of Medicine (MD) National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria , Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from University of Central Nicaragua,
. He is an Amazon author and prolific researcher having over 90 publications in national and international peer-reviewed journals.
He is Bill and Melinda Gates Fellow 2004 of Johns Hopkins University, USA.
He was the former Head of Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, OAU Ife.
He is a reproductive health advocate and fertility physician
