Adeyemi Adebanjo Babalola is a Professor of Obstetrics, Gynaecology & Perinatology in the Faculty of Clinical Sciences, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. He had his first degree in 1980 (BSc. Health Sciences), qualified as a Medical Doctor in 1984 and became a Fellow of West African College of Surgeons in 1995. He was inaugurated into the Fellowship of International College of Surgeons in June, 2014. He currently has 66 publications to his credit in both international and national journals in areas related maternal health and maternal mortality reduction. His current focus is on maternal and fetal medicine. He has successfully supervised 20 Master’s Degree Students and 21 Fellows of either Nigeria Postgraduate Medical College or West African College of Surgeons who are now Consultants both in Nigeria and International Community.
He loves jazz music and athletic sports.
