1.0 PREAMBLE:
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the University of Medical Sciences, Pre-Degree Programme under Centre for Continuing Education located at University of Medical Sciences, Akure campus along Igbatoro road, Akure.
UNIMED Pre-Degree Programme is an intensive coaching programme that prepares prospective candidates towards admission into 100 level degree programme of UNIMED in any course depending on the performance of the candidates. The programme shall run for two (2) semester beginning from November, 2024 to July, 2025.

2.0 ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
Candidates must have credit passes in at least five (5) Subjects (i. e. Mathematics, English Language, Physics, Chemistry and Biology at SSCE/GCE/ NECO at NOT more than two (2) sittings; with ONLY ONE (1) sitting required for MEDICINE AND DENTISTRY. Candidates who meet the admission requirements will be admitted into the Pre-degree programme

The subjects to be offered are:
1. Mathematics
2. English Language
3. Physics
4. Chemistry
5. Biology

3.0 QUALIFICATION FOR 100 LEVEL ADMISSION INTO UNIMED
Candidates are expected to sit for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and obtain the minimum cut-off mark for the University admission as well as comply with UNIMED Post-UTME as may be required. In addition, all candidates are expected to pass the first and second semester examinations with good grades. Successful candidates are eligible to be offered admission into 100 Level in various Faculties ranging from Sciences, Basic Medical Sciences, Allied Health Sciences, Nursing, Physiotherapy to Dentistry as well as Medicine and Surgery.

METHOD OF APPLICATION:
ONLINE PAYMENT
Eligible candidates should log on to the University website www.unimed.edu.ng. Then the following steps:
i. Click on Students;
ii. Click on PRE-DEGREE to access the Pre-Degree Portal;
iii. Click on Payment via online payment system using VISA or MASTER Card. Note that VERVE Card is NOT allowed. Duly follow the instructions to make payment of Fifteen Thousand Naira (N15,000) only.
iv. On successful payment, the candidate should note the Number on the Application Form and Print Payment Receipt;
v. On PRE-DEGREE PORTAL, Click on APPLICATION FORM/LOG IN with the generated PRE-DEFREE Application Form Number and Payment Transaction ID to access/complete the application form

5.0 CLOSING DATE:
Application will close by November, 2024 at the commencement of a new academic session..
