The Faculty of Health Law and Humanities was constituted in 2024, bringing together some pre-existing units and newly created ones. It’s founding reflects a modern approach to the education of health professionals, an approach that integrates traditional biomedical learning with social, psychological, communications and management elements. Ours is a truly interdisciplinary Faculty, bringing various social sciences to bear on the traditional biomedical sciences that are well-established in the University.

OBJECTIVES
To deliver a range of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and research programmes in the Humanities, Health Law, Health Management and related disciplines.
To incorporate literature, art, music, drama and poetry into the training of health professionals and promote the use of these media in healthcare communication.
To enhance the medical entrepreneurship capabilities of students and staff, and provide platforms for the development of innovative solutions to healthcare challenges.

MPhil/PhD Health Law
Executive MBA Health Management (commencing January 2025)
A range of General Studies courses aimed at enhancing the social, cultural and emotional competence of undergraduate students (see details under Department banner)
BSc Psychosocial Care (soon to commence)
