Requirements
Professor (CONUASS 07)
- Candidates should possess a PhD Degree/Relevant Fellowship from a recognized University/Institute with at least twelve (12) years teaching, research and administrative experience in a tertiary institution.
- Candidates must possess demonstrable competence to provide academic leadership.
- Candidates must also be specialists in core areas of departmental fields of study with evidence of twenty-four (24) scholarly publications in both local and international reputable learned journals, plus registration with relevant professional bodies and operational licence.
Reader/Associate Professor (CONUASS 06)
- Candidates should possess a PhD Degree/Relevant Fellowship from a recognized University/Institute with at least nine (9) years teaching, research and administrative experience in a tertiary institution.
- Candidates must possess demonstrable competence to provide academic leadership.
- Candidates must also be specialists in core areas of departmental fields of study with evidence of fifteen (15) scholarly publications in both local and international reputable learned journals, plus registration with relevant professional bodies and operational licence.
Senior Lecturer (CONUASS 05)
- Candidates must possess a good First Degree, not below Second Class Lower, a Master's Degree and a PhD Degree/Relevant Fellowship from a recognized University/Institute with minimum of six (6) years cognate teaching, research, community service and professional experience and must be computer literate.
- Candidates must have a minimum of eight (8) publications in reputable learned journals and must be able to teach courses as well as supervise students' projects both at the undergraduate and the postgraduate levels.
- Membership of relevant professional bodies and operational licence is also a must.
Lecturer I (CONUASS 04)
· Candidate must possess a PhD Degree/Relevant Fellowship from a recognized University/Institute plus at least three (3) years of cognate experience as a Lecturer II in a University system, or an equivalent Institution.
· He/she must be computer literate, have a good understanding of Information and Communication Technology and have at least four (4) scholarly recognized publications.
· Membership of relevant professional bodies and operational licence is also a must.
Lecturer II (CONUASS 03)
· Candidate must possess a PhD Degree/Relevant Fellowship from a recognized University/Institute or a Master’s Degree with at least three (3) years of relevant post-qualification experience in teaching and research in a University system, or an equivalent Institution.
· He/she must be computer literate and have a good understanding of Information and Communication Technology. Evidence of a good number of scholarly recognized publications is an added advantage.
· Membership of relevant professional bodies and operational licence is also a must.
Ø Requirements for Lecturer I in the Department of Science Laboratory Technology
The applicant must possess a PhD Degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized University plus at least three (3) years of cognate experience as a Lecturer II in a University system, or an equivalent Institution. He/she must be computer literate, have a good understanding of Information and Communication Technology and have at least four (4) scholarly recognized publications. A background in Science Laboratory Technology is a MUST in addition to a valid membership registration with the Nigerian Institute of Science Laboratory Technology (NISLT).
Ø Requirements for Lecturer II in the Department of Science Laboratory Technology
The applicant must possess a PhD Degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized University or a Master’s Degree with at least three (3) years of relevant post-qualification experience in teaching and research in a University system, or an equivalent Institution. He/she must be computer literate and have a good understanding of Information and Communication Technology. Evidence of a good number of scholarly recognized publications is an added advantage.
