My name is Ofonime Effiong Johnson, a Professor of Community Medicine, a staff of University of Uyo since 2014 and also working as a Consultant Community Health Physician at University of Uyo Teaching Hospital, Uyo since 2009. My qualifications are Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBCH,1985, Calabar), Masters in Public Health (MPH,2005, Lagos). I am a Fellow of both the West African College of Physicians (FWACP, 2009) and National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria (FMCPH, 2009). My research interest is in Occupational Health, which I have taught along with Medical Ethics for over ten years. I am a researcher with 57 published scholarly articles in reputable journals both locally and internationally, with 720 citations in Google Scholar. I have mentored and supervised numerous projects and dissertations of both undergraduate and postgraduate students respectively. I show great diligence and commitment to any task assigned to me. My hobby is walking.
